There is good news for Ghana. Years of importation of rice and other products may well be coming to an end in some few years to come. That is at least my hope. The one district one factory agenda of the government has seen some products hitting the market in recent weeks. They include made in Ghana rice and fruit juices. This is a wonderful agenda for the nation in so many aspects.
Benefits to Ghanaians
Unemployment will definitely be reduced since this agenda will provide jobs for countless amount of people. These include farmers and manufacturers.
We are also going to eat what we produce right here in the country and the fear of eating dangerous imported rice is drastically reduced.
Finally it is a step in the right direction. It is only right and proper for a country to put these measures in place. I plead the indulgence of all Ghanaians . This is ours. Not “uncle sam ” or CIC. let’s patronise our locally produced products.
Below are the names of the locally produced rice and their contacts. Lets cook them in our homes, schools. Lets stock them in our shops and lets advocate for made in Ghana products.
